Convert UTC and Unix timestamps

Turn an explicit ISO timestamp or Unix integer into local dates and times for your profile and all its favorites.

Example app screen. Times and favorites depend on your settings.

Start with a timestamp that identifies one moment

Open Tools → UTC / timestamp converter. The converter accepts an ISO date/time ending in Z or a numeric offset, or an integer Unix timestamp in seconds or milliseconds. Z means UTC; an offset such as +09:00 states how that written time relates to UTC.

For example, 2026-10-01T13:30:00Z and 2026-10-01T22:30:00+09:00 describe the same instant. Use the timezone information from your source rather than adding an arbitrary Z to a local time.

Check Unix seconds versus milliseconds

For integer input, the app treats 10 or fewer digits as Unix seconds and longer values as Unix milliseconds, excluding a leading plus or minus sign. Modern values such as 1700000000 and 1700000000000 therefore represent the same moment.

Decimals, unit suffixes, and numbers with separators are not accepted. Paste just the integer. Short historical millisecond values are ambiguous under this length rule; use an explicit ISO timestamp when the numeric format could be misread.

Convert and compare the local dates

Results include all favorites in the current profile, even when the list or orbit has active filters. The same instant can land on different calendar dates in different zones, so compare the date as well as the clock.

  1. Paste your input into Timestamp and select Convert.
  2. Read the normalized UTC ISO timestamp above the results.
  3. Check Me for the current profile’s timezone, followed by each favorite’s local time, full date, and timezone identifier.
  4. If you need a different reference zone or clock format, change the current profile’s timezone or Settings → Clock format and compare again.

Copy the result or inspect it on the orbit

  1. Choose Copy result to copy the local result rows, including names, times, dates, and timezone identifiers. The button changes to Copied when copying succeeds.
  2. Choose Show on the orbit to close the converter and move the main clocks to the converted instant.
  3. Select favorites to inspect their details at that instant, then use Back to now when finished.

Fix invalid or unexpected input

A conversion error means the text does not match a supported timestamp or represents an invalid or unsupported date. The converter does not infer a timezone from an unmarked local time or parse a sentence containing a date.

  1. For ISO input, include the date, T, time, and either Z or an offset such as +09:00. Verify that the calendar date is valid.
  2. For Unix input, remove commas, spaces inside the number, decimals, and unit labels, and check the source units.
  3. After editing the input, select Convert again; editing clears the previous result.
  4. If the source gives only a city’s local time, use that timezone as the profile reference and enter the time in Explore time. Resolve any daylight-saving choice there.
