A familiar face makes the clock useful
A city clock tells you the hour; a named family favorite tells you whose evening it is. Keep relatives visible with optional photos so that checking before a spontaneous call becomes a small, familiar habit.
Use a family profile when you want this view separate from work. A group can bring siblings or grandparents together inside that profile. Agree contact hours personally, especially around school runs, shifts or bedtime, then enter those hours yourself.
Put your family on the clock
- Choose your own timezone for the profile. Date inputs follow that zone, so check it when travelling or using a borrowed device.
- Add each relative as a person, give them a recognizable name and choose the timezone of the city where they actually live.
- Add an optional photo and a family group. Ask which local contact hours suit them, then save that manually agreed range.
- Keep these favorites in your current profile or deliberately create a separate family profile that you can return to before calling.
Try a fictional evening call
In this fictional example, Maya in New York proposes a family call on 2 November 2026 at 19:00 New York time. Compare London and New York below; read London's full date before deciding whether the proposal suits the relative there.
Maya's proposed family catch-up
Both city cards describe the same proposed moment. Their dates and offsets help you check what that New York evening means for the other household.

This opens a temporary view. Save as a profile only if you explicitly choose to keep it.
From a time check to an agreed call
- Open the dated example using its button to inspect that moment in Time, or return to now when you want to check before calling today.
- For another proposal, use the app's date exploration. Enter the local date and time in the profile's displayed own timezone, then inspect each relative's details.
- In the meeting tool, select the relatives and compare their manually entered ranges. Include your own hours and allow enough time for the whole conversation.
- Ask everyone to confirm a candidate. If useful, share a temporary read-only view so the family can inspect it; saving a reusable profile is an explicit choice.
Check the person as well as the hour
Chosen hours repeat daily and can become stale. A school holiday, illness or changed shift may make a normally comfortable hour unsuitable. Ask again when routines change, and update the saved range.
Photos and favorites save in this browser. Once loaded and cached, basic use can work offline; optional Google Drive connection can sync saved profiles across your connected devices.
